Helping us to develop our courses.

We are always keen to work with people who have, or may attend our courses. In some of our projects a specific component involves developing courses with people who will attend them. We list any opportunities to work with us on these projects below

Yoga for health

Are you interested in yoga and the mental health benefits of it? Or are you a yoga teacher or researcher with an interest in the links between cardiovascular health and yoga practices?

We are starting to develop yoga programs to support mental health and cardiovascular disease, and looking for collaborators. Some of this work was recently supported by an NIHR grant and looked at adolescent’s experience of attending yoga classes. We are currently integrating yoga practices in to our ‘Breathing for Health’ program which aims to reduce blood pressure in people with hypertension.

Please do get in touch with Adele to discuss possibilities

Joining our programme

Our mindfulness programmes are continually developed based on feedback from people who have participated in the courses, and current best practice examples.

We are also committed to the support and mentoring of prospective graduate students and aspiring clinical psychologists. We often have a range of service evaluation projects ongoing, and are happy to work with enthusiastic final year undergraduate students, year long placement students (if your university supports this option) and part time volunteers.

Typical activities include quantitative and qualitative data analysis, engaging in liaison work with other charitable organisations, literature searches and data entry. Where work is reported or published, your contribution will usually be acknowledged in the form of co-authorship. If you are interested, please contact Adele.
